POSH Act

Implementation

01

ABOUT “POSH ACT IMPLEMENTATION”

90% of the sexual abuse comes from people we know. The majority of abuse occurs in our daily lives, which includes our homes, offices, colleges, schools, businesses, and locations we visit for fun. Su Iccha Foundation strives to work on this everyday area by reaching out to the general public and working in the political and legal realms by raising awareness through our in-depth research projects, workshops, and interactive events. The Sexual Harassment Prevention Act empowers us to reach out to this daily place through a legal channel. The legislation requires that any organisation with more than ten workers establish an internal complaints committee (ICC) to raise awareness about sexual harassment and gender discrimination. Unfortunately, in India, just a few corporations, government agencies, and government colleges observe the legislation. We want to raise awareness and assist organisations in establishing internal complaints committees so that we may implement our awareness and sensitization initiatives, reach out to the general public, and work to reduce sexual assault by 90%. We aim to reach out to offices, colleges, schools, small companies and startups and assist them in the legal compliance of the POSH Act.

Project Ungendered

02

ABOUT “PROJECT UNGENDERED”

"Encouraging gender-neutral spaces." Su Iccha Foundation's "Project Ungendered" project promotes gender neutral washrooms. Gendered washrooms do not welcome everybody and do not provide a comfortable environment for all genders. We aim to create a welcoming and safe environment for everyone. We frequently hear transgender people complain about being unable to use the restrooms because most restrooms are not gender neutral! As a result, we decided to take action! We've launched a project in which we're painting gender neutral signage on the washrooms so that everyone feels comfortable using them. Gender Neutral Washrooms offer a comfortable environment and educate us all on how to interact with people of all genders in a private setting. We aim to promote gender-neutral washrooms that are welcoming to people of all genders as they will promote social acceptability.

Foster The Talent

About Project Foster the Talent

With busy schedules, parents struggle to find enough time to discover their child's hidden talent, understand their skill, and monitor what they are learning everyday. Foster The Talent is an initiative through which we endeavour to identify your child's innate talents, strengths, weaknesses, and skills. The workshop teaches on the concept of discrimination so as to help them avoid the behaviour in the future, and will also help increase your child's awareness about body safety.

It is a six weeks programme that allows the children to participate in fun extracurricular activities such as dance, art and more. The child's abilities, skill requirements and biases are tested through these activities. At the end of the program, a report about the child is given which will assist you in helping your child further.
