This incident is just an example which got spotlight. There are many other cases where people from weaker and marginalised sections get oppressed by wealthy and powerful people and get away with it. Many cases aren't even registered by the police officials and many cases are forcibly closed by police.

I completely agree. There are several NGOs who offer free legal service to weaker sections and
represent the survivors or the petitioners free of cost or on affordable fees. The root of the problem are much complicated and they are connected with the power politics and same wealthy people. This particular case was from UP which the court ordered to be heard in Delhi to ensure fair trial and justice to the survivor.
Lawyer's fee is just the tip of iceberg, you can get lawyers to go pro bono (some people will still do it with complete motivation)
The difficult part is patience, wait and dirty tactics used in courts to get courts delayed.
Things in Delhi are still better, but the idea of justice is far fetched in states like UP.
Can't agree more. People from weaker sections and marginalized communities can't hire and pay legal fees to lawyers and also sometimes it comes to their lives when the people with power can harm them physically.
Not to mention the courage that ones need to go to courts face the trial and hear really bad things from the opponent.
That doesn't make fighting for justice any easier.
True that. No disagreements.
Being in the legal fraternity there is no doubt that only privileged people can go to courts for justice. For others the idea of justice simply does not exist.
It outrightly discriminatory.
